Sacred heart Community Food Pantry
The Sacred Heart Community Food Pantry was founded under the leadership of Fr. Bob Spencer to address the food insecurity of the Frontenac Community.
The pantry was expanded three years ago and serves clients not only in the City of Frontenac but throughout Crawford County.
The pantry is generously funded by the parishioners of Sacred Heart as well as grants received from the public sector.
Food is generally purchased from the Kansas Food Bank which is a part of Feeding America, local grocery stores, and the Sacred Heart Community Garden. The pantry is blessed each year by food drives through Frontenac Public Schools & Letter Carriers Food Drive.
In August 2021 we received a grant that enabled us to purchase a refrigerator to expand our food selection to include fresh foods.
Anyone is welcome to receive food from the Sacred Heart Community Food Pantry. There are no questions asked about income or employment. We always welcome those are in need of food.
Pantry Hours: Tuesdays 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM
Food Truck Delivery: 2nd Friday of each Month 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM
If you or your business would like to make a donation of food or a monetary gift to ensure future operations, please leave a message with the parish secretary by email or phone.
